IF OUR HEARTS WERE CLOSE-UP LENSES

If our hearts were close-up lenses, would we better see

The beauty inside each other, just as ice engulfs a tree?

Beauty may lie in beholders’ eyes

But the surface rarely shows

The magnificence around and within us

Or how deeply beauty goes.

As writers. where can we find INSPIRATION? It’s around us everywhere…if we look closely enough and think deeply enough. Have you been inspired by a photo or illustration you’ve seen? Have you written a poem or story about it? Why not submit it, and the photo/illustration to Vianvi for inclusion on this site?

Love your words, Viga… especially after just today writing a comment on another author’s flash fiction story –
‘Isn’t it sad we are unable to see the inner beauty that shines out to others when they make us happy?’

Aw thanks Christine. This post had so little response I didn’t know what to think. And here you are, restoring my faith.

Forgot to say how much I love John’s photo. Beauty? …of the most magnificent and moving kind, I would say.
What a wonderful partnership you both have, in many ways, obviously.
